A delightful two-color stitch pattern that resembles crochet. The pattern is similar to the daisy stitch and makes use of the Make One Purl stitch. With a four row repeat it is easy to memorize and fun to knit!

Thanks for your kind words! In my experience, the Daisy Stitch has one yarn over between the two K3tog. These directions seem to be calling for a double yarn over that would result in 4 sts. I would work only one yarn over between the k3tog.
Hi Michele. You are always my go-to site for clear instructions, but I am stumped on a pattern calling for the Daisy stitch. It starts out with a purl1, then knit 3together, leave on left needle, wind yarn around R needle, over top and back to front again, then knit the same 3 stitches and drop from needle. I end up with four stitches from those three I knitted together. I am afraid to vary from the pattern by using your star stitch. Any suggestions?
Btw, your site is the BEST.
Good try – I would never be that obvious! It is a pattern featured in my upcoming book.
Is this a hint about the Fall KAL? ; )
