  1. Can you clarify how to “work 3 stitches in the corner stitch”
to accommodate going around a corner, please?

  2. I’m doing an I-cord bind off on the sleeves of a “poncho-thing”. The I-cord seems to be rolling to the outside like a rolled stockinette edge. Any hints for keeping it flat??

  3. So nice to hear from you! Every time you want to create a loopfor the buttonhole, just stop binding off and work only an i-cord. Resume back to the bind off once the loop is the correct length. Happy knitting!

  4. Hi Knit Purl Hunter. I took your class in Navajo knitting at stitches Midwest, and love my shawl. Thanks. I have an I cord bind off question. I am making a sweater that adds an edge where I pick up stitches and then knit a number of rows, similar to a buttonhole binding, and then use an I cord bind off on the edge. There are no buttonholes on the sweater, but I would like to add a loop on one side at the top to attach a button so the sweater will stay together at the top. Is there a way to do that as I work the I cord bind off? I know I can use an icord to make a loop, but I’m not sure how to do that as I work the bind off. Thanks.

  5. Thanks for knitting Match Play with me! Yes, a 3 stitch I-cord bind off is recommended in the pattern. Enjoy wearing your poncho!

  6. Hi
For match play poncho and the icord bind off how big do you suggest?
The video is a 3 stitch and btw. Wonderful

  7. Thanks for tuning in! The shawl in the video is my Wandering Moon pattern. I just worked a row of yo, k2tog two rows before the bind off.

  8. Hi, I am a new knitter and am making a plain garter stitch shawl that is almost finished. I would love to finish it with this I cord bind off but would also love to add the “eyelet” stitch (you have on the red knitting at the beginning of the video) before hand. Do you have a video for this by any chance, or could you tell me the name of the stitch? I would very much like to try it, it’s beautiful and your directions are awesome!
    thank you!

  9. Are you asking how to end the bind off in the round? If so, I used my tail to “connect” the first bind off stitch to the last bind off stitch and it was nearly invisible.

  10. Do you have directions to join from knitting on a circular needle?
First time using this bind off – its great. Thank you!

  11. Is there anything special that has to be done for an icord bindoff around corners? I have knitted a square afghan from the center out, increasing at the corners. The icord bindoff would be a nice finish to this piece.

  12. This was a lifesaver…was ready to give up on this method and just do a regular bind off….then I found your tutorial and am loving this bind off..Your tutorials are always the best!!!!!!

Looking forward to attending your class at Stitches West…

  13. I had never heard of this bind off until I made the Wandering Moon Shawl — I love it! I can definitely see using this for certain items in the future.
