Knitting cuff down socks can be twice as fun when you knit them two at at time. This video demonstrates how to cast on and knit two top down socks at once using the magi loop method. When you finish the toes you have a complete pair!

It will work for any cuff down sock pattern. Happy knitting!
Thanks so much for this video!! I’ve been wanting to learn how to knit 2aat socks for a while. I do have one question though– can you use this method for ANY sock patterns??
Absolutely. You will follow the same instructions as for magic loop. Happy to have you knitting with us!
Can I still use 2 circulars to do this kal? Thanks!
How nice to hear from you, Leslie! I miss seeing you but love that we can knit online together. I hope all is well!
Hey Michelle:
It’s Leslie (former rep) I’m excited to be participating in your Knit-Along, it’s been a while.
I’m still knitting your other sock patterns from previous Knit-Alongs, they are my favorite patterns!!!
Happy Knitting to you too!!!
LG
Thanks for tuning in!
These techniques are incredible! I’ve been knitting for more than 50 years, and only recently discovered the magic loop method and also using 2 circs instead of double pointed needles. Now I see how to make 2 socks simultaneously. My mind is boggled. I do have a suggestion, though. It would be much easier to see the details in the demo if the yarn were of a lighter color. Thanks so much for these instructional videos.
Hello!
Thank you so much for this video. I’m not making socks, but actually raglan sleeves for my daughter’s sweater. This works perfectly and I can get both sleeves done at the same time.
I’m happy to help you in your sock addiction!
Thank you for doing a video on this. A couple of years ago, I bought the TAAT sock book and it was so confusing. Your video makes it so clear. Now I think I have the courage to try TAAT!
Glad to see this done ‘real time’ rather than picures in the book. I may get my courage up to try this again.
(Did anyone ever look at the closed captioning that goes with this? Hilarious! Not accurate but really funny)
Watch my video “Two at a Time – Short Row Heels” to work this fun technique.
Would you demonstrate doing the heel. Thank you.
I am a big fan of magic loop method and toe-up socks… I have also done cuff down socks and mittens and leg warmers two at a time, and hats. What an innovation.
Trying this for the first time this week, thankyou.
YOU ARE A GODDESS!!!!!! i have been looking for how to cast on for 2aat socks for over a year and couldnt find it!!!
im gonna get to work on my socks later!
Thank you xxxxx
OMG!! This is SO Cool!! Starting with some yoga socks for a KAL at my LYS…toe up are next!! Thank you so much for your excellent videos!
Thanks for the video, I have learned so much doing the KAL’s! I have been using magic loop for one sock and just used 2 needles separately. Now I can cast on twice as many socks. What fun!
