Every knitter will need to decrease stitches at some point. The simplest decrease is made by knitting two stitches together to create one new stitch. A knit two together (k2tog) results in a stitch that is right leaning.

The k2tog is quite simple. A yarn over is the simplest of increases and is formed by passing the working yarn over the needle prior to knitting the next stitch. The yarn over is easiest to explain visually. Have you watched the Yarn Over video? It shows you how to create a yarn over. If you are a Continental knitter (working yarn held in left hand) be sure to watch the Yarn Over (Continental) video. I wish you were sitting next to me – we would have this cleared up in a snap! Let me know how you make out!
on the building block #3 it say’s to k2tog ,yo . what do you mean yo over which way? could you show me?
