  1. Love this variation on the picot bind-off. I’m using it to finish off a triangular shawl and I’m at the point. Do I need to increase somehow to get around without loosing the point? Your videos are so helpful! Thanks

  2. I recommend the Stretchy Picot Bind Off. It will give you a dainty top to your sock, but will have a bit of elasticity to it. Watch my video for a tutorial. Happy knitting!

  3. Hi Michelle – is the Channel Island Bind off appropriate and stretchy enough for a sock cuff on a top up sock? Just curious before I do the work and then try to unravel it because it doesn’t work. I’m looking for a bind off with a stretch and a little detail on a new pair of socks.
    Thanks in advance. Jocelyn

  4. I followed the usual blocking steps as demonstrated in my video. I laid it flat and put a few pins in along the edges to help it keeps its shape. My yarn got even softer:)

  5. Just finished the KAL and I love it! I have blocked your Building Blocks but have never blocked a cowl. Do I need to do anything different?

  6. Thank you for wonderful videos and KAL projects…I appreciated the channel Island Bind Off to match the Cast On So kind of you to share your skill!

  7. Hello Michelle,
I really enjoyed this KAL. I actually was able to keep up with the weekly clues:)
The bind off is really, really nice. I enjoy learning and having a lovely project as a result.
Can’t wait to knit with you again in January. Thank you for all you do to make us so much more confident in our knitting.

  8. Just have to let you know how much I enjoyed this Knit – Along! Once I got the “rhythm” of the Channel Island Bind Off, all went smoothly. Love the knitted design but think it will be even prettier after blocking, which I plan to do today. Thank you so much for this fun mystery Knit- Along, your explicit, easy to understand videos, and your willingness to share your expertise and creativity.

  9. This is my first cowl – made many scarves. I liked this yarn a lot for this project with so much stitch definition to it. Always so fun for me to learn new stitches and different ways for casting on – thanks for a lovely pattern – may make another for a Christmas gift.

  10. I’ve enjoyed completing this, my first KAL in this format.
And by far, you have the best instructional videos that I’ve ever followed.
Thank you, it’s been fun learning new techniques and anticipating the next installment!

  11. Thank you for Namesake KAL. I just finished it, love it. I enjoyed learning new cast on and bind off–very nice. Looking forward to January’s KAL.
